Lisa van Reenen, DVM

Senior Resident Veterinarian

Lisa van Reenen received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University in 2007. After graduation, she worked under the guidance of renowned veterinarian, Dr. Glen Blodgett and Brian Fitzgerald at the 6666 Ranch in Guthrie, Texas. Glad to be joining the CVRS team, Lisa boasts a sincere interest in equine reproduction and breeding, and values the triadic relationship between veterinarian, horse owner and horse. Dr. van Reenen looks forward to growing the CVRS practice to include a small animal clinic in the fall of 2011.

Dr. van Reenen describes her place at Center Ranch at her "dream job" and that she's excited to call these beautiful rolling hills home with her husband, Breda van Reenen and young son Gavin. The Center Ranch welcomes Dr. Lisa van Reenen to CVRS.

 
Steven Loncosky, DVM

Steve Loncosky, DVMResident Veterinarian

Steve Loncosky and his lovely wife Korina, an elementary school teacher, went east this summer to Centerville, TX.  Dr. Loncosky received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine in Pomona, California.  After veterinary school, he worked at Steinbeck Country Equine Clinic in northern California, at a high end referral clinic with mentorship from several board-certified specialists . He also has been a volunteer with Rural Area Veterinary Services, traveling from California to North Dakota, and even into Mexico. These trips provided vital care to the local communities dogs, cats, and horses.  His professional interests include surgery, lameness, imaging, dentistry, and rural area volunteer work. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling with his wife, scuba diving, horseback riding, and the outdoors.

 
Jim Ward, DVM

Dr. Jim Ward, DVM

Veterinarian, CVRS Owner

Jim Ward D.V.M. is a 1965 graduate of Texas A&M University.Ward has practiced Equine Veterinary Medicine for forty years emphasizing equine reproduction. Ward presently is the Equine Management Consultant for the South Central Region of Cargill Inc, a position he has held since 2000. He is a Member of the Cargill Product Development Team and the Cargill Global Equine Team. Ward’s passions have been to develop feeds that would provide solutions for veterinarians and horse owners for diseases such as Colic, Laminitis, Tying-up, Developmental Orthopedic Disease, Cushing’s Disease and Metabolic Syndrome. He currently serves on the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine Development Council.

 
Del Bradshaw

Stallion / Breeding Manager

Del Bradshaw believes it is a great honor to work for this first-class breeding facility. Before making the move to Centerville, Del worked under Brett Spencer, DVM at Midpoint Equine Medical Center in Tioga, TX, where he was the equine breeding manager for W.T. Waggoner Estate in Electra, TX. Breeding season is always a busy time of year, but he welcomes visitors and looks forward to an opportunity to share news of our latest foal crop.

 
Mark Haugland, DVM

Mark Haugland D.V.M. is a 1986 graduate of Texas A&M University. Dr. Haugland completed his Equine Surgery residency at the University of Florida and Oklahoma State University. In 1997, he acquired his Board certification to practice surgery, with an emphasis on sports medicine, lameness and orthapedic surgey and is currently a Diplomate to the American College of Veterinary Surgeons..  Dr. Haugland maintains a private practice in Conroe, Texas, and visits our CVRS facility twice a month (every other Thursday) to oversee surgeries.
