Ronnie Rice is a leading rider, having ridden horses to $1.3 million in NCHA Futurity winnings. Rice is part of a select group of six riders who have won the NCHA Futurity two or more times. He captured the 1998 title on Dainty Playgirl (Freckles Playboy x Dainty Lena x Smart Little Lena); and again in 2001 with San Tule Freckles (Freckles Playboy x San Tule Lu x Peppy San Badger). Rice’s NCHA Futurity Champion horses each earned $200,000. Among Rice’s other leading NCHA Futurity mounts are: Peptocandy, $147,617; Playboys Molly Mac, $98,263; Brigapep, $63,802; Dr Cuzin, $55,849; Pop A Top Pep, $54,385; Docs Super Wolf, $54,352; and Sheyssmartlittlelena, $54,158.
